Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Recognize practice gaps in the diagnosis and management of autoimmune mucocutaneous blistering disorders
  • Develop plans and appropriate evaluations that help bridge the practice gaps in the diagnosis of autoimmune mucocutaneous blistering disorders
  • Select the best treatment and monitoring management plan for potential adverse effects from the treatment in the management of autoimmune mucocutaneous blistering disorders

Description

The session will demonstrate practice gaps in the diagnosis and management of autoimmune mucocutaneous blistering disorders through case examples. there will also be discussion on recommendations how to bridge these gaps in order to provide the safest and most effective care possible for these patients that suffer from these disorders with significant morbidity and mortality. The session is mainly directed at dermatologists in both an academic setting and in general practice.
