Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Demonstrate an improved familiarity with the anatomy of the head and neck.
  • Describe the topographic anatomy of the head and neck.
  • Locate the anatomical "danger zones" on the head and neck

Description

The session's goal is to review the basic anatomy of the head and neck. Topographic anatomy, muscles of facial expression, the facial nerve, and sensory innervation of the head and neck will be reviewed. A major focus will be the anatomic danger zones of the head and neck. At the end of the session, the audience member should have an increased familiarity with and appreciation for the complexity of the anatomy of the head and neck.
